Members of the Aruba Volleyball Association agreed on AVA interim leadership and democratic elections before the end of January 2027.
Nine member clubs joined the meeting
All nine organizations represented in AVA’s general assembly took part in an extraordinary meeting on September 7. Aruba Sport Unie president Sorayda Boekhoudt moderated, while COA secretary-general Nicole Hoevertsz and Jonathan Wever attended as observers.
Committees will handle pending work
The assembly agreed to establish an interim structure made up of committees. Their tasks include handling pending matters, maintaining continuity and preparing elections. Participants emphasized governance, integrity, transparency, open communication and cooperation as priorities for rebuilding the association.
