Taekwondo Team Aruba athletes underwent routine medical and fitness checks over the weekend as part of the squad’s preparation program.
Measurements completed at Sero Patrishi gym
Dr. Miguel Genser of Chaco Taekwondo Academy conducted the assessments at Cuts & Curves Gym in Sero Patrishi, assisted by Cindy Wernet.
The checks covered athletes’ height, weight, body mass index and cardiovascular condition. Team members also receive weekly weight monitoring after training.
Quarterly monitoring planned
Taekwondo Team Aruba plans to repeat the broader assessments every quarter. The program covers athletes from children’s categories through the adult level.
Some participants received individual guidance about factors to consider in their daily routines and as they prepare for upcoming championships. The report did not identify a specific medical concern or disclose private health results.
The Taekwondo Team Aruba medical checks are intended to help coaches and athletes monitor physical development as training continues.
