Two detainees were transferred to the United States in an Aruba prisoner extradition operation on Wednesday morning.
U.S. aircraft arrived for transfer
Several Aruba police units were present at the airport as a U.S. government aircraft arrived to collect the two prisoners. The report said both were wanted in connection with pending cases in the United States.
Both men had been detained at the airport
One detainee was described as a Venezuelan-Italian man arrested upon arrival in Aruba in January. The other was described as a Colombian man detained when he arrived in April 2026 in connection with a drug case. The source said it was not known whether the cases were related and did not identify either man.
