Stichting Hunto's Centro Colorado recovery event combined music, personal testimony and community support around life after addiction.
Music and Testimony Share a Recovery Message
Stichting Hunto held an Anochi di Union gathering at Centro Colorado on September 30 that combined music, faith and personal accounts of recovery from addiction. Eltienne Yarzagaray and United Melodies performed, while Ishon Boekhoudt and Gabriel Prato shared experiences from their own recovery journeys.
Speakers Discuss Change After Addiction
At the Centro Colorado recovery event, Boekhoudt and Prato described the role that faith played in helping them leave addiction behind and rebuild their lives. Their accounts emphasized that a history of addiction does not erase a person's capacity to change, contribute to the community and offer hope to others facing a similar struggle.
Community Support Remains Part of the Process
Stichting Hunto said faith can be a source of personal strength while professional care, family support, community involvement and continued participation in treatment all remain important parts of recovery. The organization thanked the musicians, speakers and audience members for creating space to discuss experiences that are often kept behind silence and stigma.
