Justice Minister Arthur Dowers visited the Aruba Guardianship Council to review its work with children, families and judicial agencies.
Visit covered responsibilities and daily challenges
Director Aisca Berkemeyer received the minister at Directie Voogdijraad on Thursday. Staff explained the council’s responsibilities, how the organization operates in practice and challenges employees encounter in daily case work.
Minister reviewed case-management systems
The program included a presentation on the system used to register information and manage cases. The council supports child protection and assists judicial bodies in matters involving minors and families. Dowers thanked staff and said stronger organizational capacity and cooperation across justice and social-service partners remain important.
