The local rock band Aletheia recently made its debut appearance at the Battle of the Bands 2026, held at the Centro di Bario Noord. After five months of intensive training, the group expressed high satisfaction with their presentation. The members worked diligently to prepare a complete show, an achievement they view with great pride.
The lineup included vocalist Anna van Houdt, guitarist Raygell Koolman, bassist Loghan Steenvoorde, drummer Dane Kock, and Alakina Gonzalez Lujan on vocals and guitar. Taking the stage for the first time as a unified band requires strong command of voice and instruments, along with a sense of entertainment. During their set, Aletheia successfully connected with the public, receiving significant acclaim characterized by applause and shouting over the energetic tones of their music.
A defining moment of the performance was the introduction of their original song, “Tuning out.” This track reflects on the different stages of an aimless romantic relationship. The band noted that the song resonated deeply with the audience, with many attendees shouting emotionally during and at the conclusion of the performance. Aletheia extended their gratitude to the public for their support and offered congratulations to fellow participants Monotone, as well as the event’s winners, Santanero and Red Rush.
