SAN NICOLAS – Aruba police have arrested four suspects as part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting that occurred outside Pacifico Restaurant in San Nicolas on June 21, 2026.
Three suspects were taken into custody during a judicial operation carried out Friday morning on Caya St. Maarten. The operation involved the Aruba Police Arrest Team, the K-9 Unit and uniformed officers from the San Nicolas district.
The shooting was reported at approximately 3:55 p.m. and involved a blue Nissan March and a black Toyota Altezza. When officers arrived, neither vehicle was at the scene, but investigators recovered several spent shell casings and evidence of gunfire. The abandoned Toyota Altezza was later located on Caya Bonaire and seized as evidence.
Following several days of investigation, police arrested three Aruba-born suspects aged 27, 23 and 18. Later that day, a fourth suspect, a 17-year-old Aruba-born male, voluntarily surrendered at the San Nicolas Police Station.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine each suspect’s role and the motive behind the shooting. Police continue to ask anyone with relevant information to contact the anonymous Tipline at 11141.
