The AVB Women’s Football Strategic Plan 2026–2030 was officially launched during a special event held recently at the Guillermo P. Trinidad Sports Complex, marking a significant step forward in the development of women’s football in Aruba.

The Arubaanse Voetbal Bond (AVB) introduced the plan as part of its broader strategic vision, placing women’s football as one of the main pillars of the federation’s development strategy.

Major Progress in Women’s Football

In recent years, women’s football in Aruba has seen notable growth, with increased participation and development opportunities. Through the AVB Women’s Football Strategic Plan 2026–2030, the federation aims to further strengthen the sport by focusing on structured development and professionalization.

The plan outlines a long-term commitment to providing more resources, training opportunities, and support systems for female players and programs.

Support from the Aruba Olympic Committee

The Aruba Olympic Committee (COA) welcomed the initiative and congratulated AVB for its efforts to promote women’s football as part of its national sports strategy.

COA highlighted that the AVB Women’s Football Strategic Plan 2026–2030 demonstrates strong governance and aligns with the global Olympic movement’s goals of gender equality and inclusion in sports.

Advancing Gender Equality in Sports

By integrating women’s football into its core strategic framework, AVB aims to create more opportunities for female athletes while strengthening the overall sports landscape in Aruba.

Officials emphasized that initiatives like the AVB Women’s Football Strategic Plan 2026–2030 not only support athletic development but also contribute to building a more inclusive sporting community.

The collaboration between AVB and organizations such as COA reflects a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for women in sports and ensuring continued growth for Team Aruba on the international stage.
