The AVB Awards Night brought Aruba’s football community together to recognize players and other contributors who stood out during the season, according to 24ora.
Players and the people behind them recognized
The Arubaanse Voetbal Bond’s annual event gathered athletes, coaches, volunteers, family members and football representatives. Sports Minister Gerlien Croes congratulated the nominees and winners while emphasizing the work of teams, coaches and volunteers in developing local talent.
Randolf Lacle said the awards are held each year to recognize seasonal achievement. He highlighted the youth categories and described each player’s award as a collective accomplishment supported by coaches, parents, volunteers and others.
Seven honorary members celebrated
The ceremony also recognized seven honorary members named during AVB’s most recent general meeting. They were invited on stage for their contribution and history in Aruban football, giving younger players an opportunity to learn about people who helped shape the local game.
