Four-year-old Zayden Valdez earned a string of podium finishes while representing Aruba at the 2026 Pan American and South American competition in Peru, according to 24ora.
Zayden Valdez reaches the podium in every race
Valdez finished third in each of his three races on September 18. On September 19, he won the first race and placed second in the next two.
He travelled as part of an eight-rider Aruba team and was the island’s only representative competing on a pedal-free balance bike. He raced with Team Pedal Warriors.
Young Aruba rider faces international field
The event included riders from Bolivia, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, China, Peru and Costa Rica. Valdez’s results gave Aruba multiple podium appearances across the two days of racing.
