Aruba branding appeared on the championship stage as Elena Rybakina won the 2026 US Open in New York on Saturday.
Rybakina wins a three-set final
Rybakina defeated Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 in the women’s final, according to 24ora. The victory was Rybakina’s third Grand Slam title after Wimbledon in 2022 and the Australian Open in 2026.
The result also moved Rybakina to the top of the WTA rankings. Sabalenka had held the number-one position for 99 weeks and entered the tournament as the defending champion from 2024 and 2025.
Aruba branding reaches the US Open final
Rybakina wore the Aruba logo on her competition clothing, while members of her team wore caps carrying Aruba branding. The display placed the island before an international tennis audience during one of the sport’s major finals.
