Aruba’s tourism industry recorded a strong performance in July 2025, with visitor arrivals rising 15% compared to the same month in 2024. The latest report from the Aruba Tourism Authority highlights robust demand across key source markets, accommodation trends, and traveler preferences, underscoring the island’s growing appeal as one of the Caribbean’s top destinations.

North America Remains the Largest Market

The United States continues to dominate Aruba’s tourism landscape, with July stay-over arrivals reaching 103,430—an increase of 10.5% over 2024. Canada posted even stronger growth, climbing 38.7% with 4,674 arrivals. Together, North America contributed 76.2% of total arrivals, reflecting strong travel demand supported by solid airlift connections.

South America Surges

South America delivered standout results, with overall arrivals up 37.1%. Argentina led the way with a remarkable 161.7% increase, followed by Brazil (+59.3%) and Venezuela (+40.3%). These gains reflect the success of Aruba’s targeted marketing efforts and the expansion of direct air services in the region.

Europe Shows Mixed Performance

European arrivals reached 6,292, a 14.7% increase year-over-year. The Netherlands remained the leading market with 3,373 visitors (+11.7%), while Belgium (+57.5%) and Austria (+26.1%) also posted strong gains. The UK market, however, declined by 34.1%.

Shifting Accommodation Preferences

Traveler behavior continued to evolve, with the European Plan (EP) and “Other accommodations” segments growing by 21.1% and 22% respectively. All-Inclusive stays fell 10.1%, suggesting visitors are seeking more flexible travel experiences. Families and couples remained the top visitor segments, with travelers aged 30–49 forming the largest age group.

Airlines Expand Connectivity

Airline partnerships further fueled July’s performance. United Airlines (+25.3%), Delta Air Lines (+15.7%), and WestJet (+89.6%) all posted significant growth, while LATAM Airlines nearly doubled its arrivals, underscoring the rising importance of South America in Aruba’s travel market.

Visitor Experience and Economic Impact

Aruba maintained an excellent Guest Experience Index (GEI) score of 9.0 in July, with cleanliness, service, and attractions ranked highest by visitors. Tourism Credits—reflecting visitor spending—also trended upward, supported by reporting from the Central Bank of Aruba.

Outlook: Record Year Ahead

With 141,904 total arrivals in July and strong year-over-year momentum, Aruba is on track for a record-breaking 2025. Robust demand from North America, booming growth from South America, and steady resilience in Europe reinforce Aruba’s position as the Caribbean’s most desirable destination.
