ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba Prime Minister Mike Eman visited Huis73 in Den Bosch during his official trip to the Netherlands to learn about the innovative cultural and educational community center.
Huis73 combines a public library, creative spaces, educational programs, and cultural activities within a renovated historic building designed to serve the wider community.
During the visit, Prime Minister Eman met with Huis73 director Nan van Schendel and project developer Peter Zwart, who explained the vision behind the modern cultural center.
Officials described Huis73 as more than a traditional library, emphasizing its role in promoting reading, creativity, critical thinking, education, and community participation.
The center provides daily access for children, students, artists, and residents seeking educational and creative opportunities.
According to project leaders, the development process focused on creating a functional and welcoming space that adds cultural and social value to the city.
Prime Minister Eman expressed interest in how Aruba could strengthen similar spaces combining education, creativity, and social development within the community.
Eman stated that investments in culture, knowledge, and community participation can help create stronger and more resilient societies.
The visit formed part of several institutional and cultural meetings held during the prime minister’s official trip to the Netherlands focused on innovation, education, and international cooperation.
