ORANJESTAD (AAN) – University of Aruba Lecturers Complete BKE Certification as 11 faculty members successfully completed the Basiskwalificatie Examinering (BKE) program, a professional development initiative focused on strengthening assessment expertise and educational quality.
The University of Aruba celebrated the achievement of the lecturers, recognizing the BKE certification as an important milestone in their professional growth. The program equips educators with advanced knowledge and practical skills in student assessment while supporting excellence in higher education.
The accomplishment reflects the participants’ ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality teaching, continuous improvement, and academic excellence. With approximately 75% of its full-time academic staff now holding BKE certification or an equivalent qualification, the University continues investing in the professional development of the educators who help shape Aruba’s future workforce.
University officials also expressed appreciation to the trainers, assessors, lecturers, the Organization and Coordination (O&C) team, and leadership members whose support contributed to the success of the program.
