ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Practice Support Professionals of POH Aruba celebrated their special recognition day on May 22 with activities focused on appreciation, unity, and professional wellbeing.
Since being introduced in Aruba in 2012, POH professionals have become an important part of preventive healthcare services across the island.
According to organizers, the celebration honored the dedication and commitment of professionals who support patients dealing with conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stress, depression, and other health concerns.
The event included an educational presentation about effective communication led by local professionals, followed by a group lunch and recreational activities designed to strengthen teamwork and social connection among colleagues.
Participants also enjoyed relaxing activities in a positive environment intended to encourage appreciation and motivation within the healthcare profession.
POH representative Anette Kelly-Wester emphasized the important role practice support professionals continue playing alongside family doctors in improving healthcare and wellbeing throughout Aruba.
Officials stated that the annual recognition day also serves as an opportunity for healthcare workers to recharge and celebrate their contributions to the community.
The event concluded with messages of appreciation and encouragement for healthcare professionals to continue serving Aruba with dedication and compassion.
