ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Filomena College MAVO celebrated its 2026 graduation ceremony at the Renaissance Convention Center, where 60 students received their diplomas after successfully completing their studies.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Juf. Baly Award 2026, which recognizes the school’s top graduate. The award was presented by Rob van den Brink, widower of the late Juffrouw Anuesca Baly, alongside Christopher Lake of ASTEC N.V. and SKOA Acting Director Jessica Irausquin. The 2026 recipient was Channery Dania.
The ceremony also marked the final graduation event for Principal Raquel Lampe, who was honored for her dedicated service to the school. Vice Principal Joraine Oduber presented Lampe with a Certificate of Excellence in recognition of her leadership and commitment.
The school congratulated all graduates, parents and teachers, describing the students’ achievements as a reflection of the dedication and hard work of Aruba’s young people.
