The Aruba student guidance center need was strongly emphasized during the official opening of the Ban Studia and EducationUSA office, highlighting the importance of proper guidance for students planning their future.

Sheila Maduro, Acting Director of the Department of Education (D.E.A.), shared that for many years there has been a clear demand for a dedicated center to guide students in making important educational decisions.

Drawing from her own experience of leading a student guidance center for eight years, Maduro explained that the need for structured guidance has always existed, especially when students must choose not only a career path but also a country where they will study.

She stressed that pursuing education abroad is a major decision involving both time and financial investment, which also impacts families. Parents often remain concerned about their children’s well-being and success while studying overseas.

The Aruba student guidance center need becomes even more relevant as students face a growing number of educational options. Maduro noted that many young people are not fully aware of all available opportunities, particularly with the emergence of new professions in a rapidly changing global landscape.

She encouraged students and parents to take full advantage of the new office, which aims to provide reliable guidance and help them explore different study options locally and internationally.

According to Maduro, better preparation allows students to become more resilient and confident in their choices, ultimately helping them succeed in their academic and professional journeys.

The opening of the Ban Studia and EducationUSA office represents a significant step toward addressing the long-standing Aruba student guidance center need and supporting the future of Aruba’s youth.
