ORANJESTAD, Aruba — Aruba Airport travel disruption winter storm conditions resulted in a significantly busier-than-normal day at Queen Beatrix International Airport on Monday, following widespread flight cancellations caused by a winter storm in the United States.

Airport authorities reported that due to flight cancellations on Sunday, January 25, passengers experienced increased congestion on Monday, January 26, as delayed arrivals and departures created logistical challenges throughout the terminal.

As previously reported by NoticiaCla, numerous flights were canceled both from the United States and Aruba. Several inbound flights did not arrive on the island, while aircraft that landed were unable to return to the U.S., leading to passenger backlogs and scheduling disruptions.

According to the airport, travelers may experience longer lines at various points inside the terminal. Passengers were advised to plan accordingly and allow extra time for their airport procedures.

Passenger flow control for U.S.-bound flights remains unchanged. Travelers may only enter the check-in hall no more than three hours before their scheduled departure time.

Passengers who already have a boarding pass and are traveling with carry-on luggage only may proceed directly to passport control without entering the check-in hall.

Airport officials emphasized that the situation is being actively managed and thanked passengers for their patience.
