A new Aruba travel ranking places the island higher among families and couples than among people travelling alone for the 2026 year-end holiday season.
Aruba ranks 19th for family travel
Aruba placed 19th among destinations booked by families and 22nd among couples in travel-insurance platform Squaremouth’s data, according to NoticiaCla.
The ranking, published September 22, covers bookings for travel during the 2026 holiday period. Aruba placed 46th among solo travellers in the same dataset.
Beach destinations appeal to families and couples
Squaremouth’s booking patterns indicate that beach destinations remain popular with family groups and couples, while solo travellers show relatively stronger interest in culture, discovery and adventure.
The difference is not unique to Aruba. The Bahamas ranked third for families but 22nd for solo travel, while countries including Peru and Morocco placed more strongly among solo travellers than among families and couples.
Ranking reflects one booking dataset
The figures come from Squaremouth customers and do not represent the entire tourism market. They also do not show that the number of solo visitors to Aruba has fallen.
The comparison nevertheless highlights an opportunity for Aruba’s tourism sector to give cultural and adventure experiences greater visibility alongside the island’s beaches when speaking to independent travellers.
