As part of World Mental Health Day (October 10), Respaldo continues its tradition of organizing events to raise awareness about mental health in the community. This year, Respaldo is hosting a song festival titled ‘Let’s Sing for Mental Health’.
Music, especially singing, has numerous benefits for mental well-being, including:
- Stress Reduction: Singing lowers cortisol (stress hormone) levels.
- Social Connection: Singing together strengthens a sense of group unity.
- Self-Expression: It provides a sense of security and encourages creativity.
- Endorphin Boost: Singing releases happiness-inducing hormones.
- Breathing and Focus: Singing requires control over breathing, promoting concentration and calming effects.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Hilton Aruba Ballroom, with doors opening at 7:00 PM and the show starting at 8:00 PM. A nominal entrance fee will be charged, and tickets will be available exclusively via Pay.aw.
