SABANA GRANDI – Police detained an underage motorcyclist Thursday afternoon following a traffic accident in Sabana Grandi that left the rider with minor injuries.
Authorities received reports of an accident involving injuries, prompting both police and ambulance personnel to respond to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that an Elmar company vehicle was turning right when the underage rider, who reportedly did not possess a driver’s license, attempted to pass the vehicle on the right side at the same moment.
Although the vehicle did not directly collide with the motorcycle, the rider lost control and crashed into a parked van along the roadside before falling onto the ground.
The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries as a result of the impact and fall. Ambulance personnel treated the victim at the scene.
Police later detained the underage rider for operating the motorcycle without a valid driver’s license.
