If you’re planning a trip to Aruba, it’s time to rethink your Caribbean expectations. The westernmost of the Leeward Antilles, Aruba offers a unique experience unlike any other Caribbean destination.

Located just 18 miles north of Venezuela and part of the ABC Islands along with Bonaire and Curaçao, Aruba stands out for being free from hurricanes and heavy rainfall. The island enjoys sunny, dry 82-degree weather, accompanied by a refreshing breeze, making it extremely pleasant for visitors. Combined with being one of the safest countries in the Caribbean, Aruba is the perfect destination for a stress-free vacation.

Day 1: Relax at Palm Beach

After arriving at Queen Beatrix International Airport, take a comfortable taxi or shuttle to the Radisson Blu Aruba in Palm Beach. This modern resort features spacious suites and excellent service, including a welcome drink as you check in.

Kick off your vacation with a dip in the rooftop adults-only infinity pool, offering stunning views of Palm Beach. In the evening, explore the vibrant Palm Beach strip along J.E. Irausquin Blvd, with shops, bars, and restaurants. Azia Restaurant & Lounge is perfect for your first dinner, offering creative cocktails and Asian-fusion cuisine with fresh seafood.

Day 2: Sail and Snorkel

Book a catamaran excursion with Pelican Adventures for a four-hour morning cruise visiting Boca Catalina, the Antilla wreck, and Arashi Reef. Snorkel among coral reefs, colorful fish, and even explore a sunken German freighter. Enjoy unlimited drinks and a freshly prepared lunch on board, then return for a relaxing afternoon at the resort or shopping in Palm Beach. Sunset dinner cruises are also available for a memorable evening.

Day 3: Beach Day

Spend a day enjoying Aruba’s stunning beaches. Visit Eagle Beach for soft sands and iconic divi-divi trees, Malmok Beach for excellent snorkeling, and Baby Beach for calm waters ideal for families. Stop at Eduardo’s Beach Shack for a quick meal, and explore San Nicolas for its vibrant murals, local art, and affordable eateries like Big Mama Grill.

Day 4: Explore Aruba’s Natural Beauty

Discover Aruba’s desert landscape at Arikok National Park, covering 20% of the island. Book a Jeep tour to see landmarks such as the California Lighthouse, Fontein Cave, Quadirikiri Cave, Conchi natural pool, and the rugged Atlantic coast. Sandboarding and other outdoor activities are available for adventure enthusiasts.

Day 5: Oranjestad and Dutch Caribbean Culture

Conclude your trip in Aruba’s capital, Oranjestad. Visit Fort Zoutman, the Historical Museum, and take a ride on the free Aruba Streetcar. Explore the National Archaeological Museum and learn about Aruba’s gold rush and aloe vera industry. Enjoy shopping along Wilhelminastraat and Renaissance Mall, and have lunch at Lima Bistro. Don’t miss the famous flamingos on Renaissance Island, local markets, and cultural highlights around the city.

Aruba’s charm, friendly locals, and wide range of activities ensure visitors leave with memories that bring them back. The island truly deserves its nickname, “One Happy Island,” and has one of the highest return rates of any Caribbean destination.
