The government says Aruba primary-sector tax exemptions will remain in place while work proceeds on a permanent legal framework.

Policy covers qualifying local production

Minister Geoffrey Wever confirmed continuation after meeting farmer and fishing organizations. Subject to conditions, the approval covers profit and income taxes plus turnover tax and the AZV levy on revenue from locally produced agriculture, horticulture, fishing, beekeeping and animal or fish farming.

Government intends to codify framework

Wever said the government plans legislation with a target effective date of January 1, 2027. Producers must continue meeting registration, administrative and other existing requirements. The announcement states an intention and timetable; the legislation has not yet taken effect.
