ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Savaneta Seafood Festival 2026 will return on September 27, bringing together local fishing, culture, tourism, and economic development in Aruba’s historic fishing community.

The announcement was made by Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector Geoffrey Wever during a press conference. The festival is organized in collaboration with the Savaneta Prome Capital Foundation and several public and private partners.

Building on the success of previous editions, the festival will feature a wide variety of fresh local seafood, creative culinary experiences, cultural performances, live music, local crafts, and family-friendly activities.

According to Minister Wever, the event is much more than a recreational festival. It serves as a platform to strengthen Aruba’s primary sector, create economic opportunities for fishermen and local entrepreneurs, and highlight the importance of local production in sustainable economic development.

The festival aligns with the government’s goals of supporting the primary sector, encouraging local commerce, promoting economic diversification, and creating opportunities for local businesses and producers.

Government officials believe the event helps position Savaneta as Aruba’s leading fishing community while creating connections between fishing, gastronomy, culture, and tourism.

Additional details regarding the festival program, entertainment lineup, and participating vendors will be announced in the coming months.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to mark September 27, 2026, on their calendars and take part in a celebration of Aruba’s seafood traditions, local culture, and community pride.
