ORANJESTAD (AAN) – A networking event titled “Santander Comes to Aruba” brought together representatives from Aruba’s tourism and business sectors to promote stronger commercial and tourism ties with Colombia’s Santander region.
The event attracted travel agencies, insurance companies, retailers, private sector representatives and local media, highlighting growing interest in the Colombian destination.
Organized by the Government of Santander, the Santander Department of Culture and Tourism, ProColombia and the Bucaramanga Chamber of Commerce, the event showcased opportunities in adventure tourism, nature, gastronomy, wellness, culture, medical tourism, trade and investment.
Organizers also emphasized the new direct air connection, making Santander the closest Colombian destination to Aruba with a flight time of approximately one hour.
Beyond tourism, the event encouraged discussions on cooperation in commerce, healthcare, education, retail and investment. Organizers expressed confidence that the relationships established during the event will lead to new projects, increased business exchanges and long-term economic benefits for both Aruba and Santander.
