The Hooiberg tourist rescue Aruba operation took place Wednesday morning after a visitor became ill while climbing the hill.
Authorities received reports of a person in distress on top of Hooiberg, later identified as a 75-year-old Dutch tourist. The individual reportedly became unwell due to the physical strain of climbing the hill.
Emergency services quickly responded, with police, ambulance personnel, and the rescue team working together in a coordinated effort. The team climbed to the top of Hooiberg, where medical staff stabilized the tourist before preparing him for a safe descent.
After a careful and well-coordinated operation, the tourist was brought down from the hill and transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.
