HAVA Supports AruBIG Accreditation for Doctors as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare quality and professional standards across Aruba.
Drs. Maribelle Tromp, the new president of the Huisartsen Vereniging Aruba (HAVA), recently explained that the association has worked closely with the Institute for Quality regarding AruBIG, the accreditation system required for physicians who wish to practice medicine in Aruba.
According to Tromp, HAVA Supports AruBIG Accreditation for Doctors because it helps raise the quality of healthcare services provided on the island. She emphasized that the accreditation process does not imply that doctors lack competence, but rather ensures that healthcare professionals meet recognized standards for quality and professional practice.
The AruBIG system requires additional training and evaluation, contributing to higher levels of accountability and continuous professional development within Aruba’s healthcare sector.
Tromp also highlighted new opportunities for medical education and specialization. Additional training positions have been opened, allowing doctors from Aruba and the region to pursue further specialization and professional growth.
As part of its mission, HAVA Supports AruBIG Accreditation for Doctors by assisting physicians throughout the accreditation process and helping them access the resources needed to meet professional requirements.
Healthcare professionals who become members of HAVA gain access to guidance, support, and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Tromp noted that HAVA remains committed to promoting quality healthcare and ensuring that Aruba continues to invest in the development of its medical workforce.
The HAVA Supports AruBIG Accreditation for Doctors initiative reflects a broader commitment to improving healthcare quality, strengthening professional qualifications, and ensuring that patients receive care that meets recognized standards of excellence throughout Aruba.
