Make Aruba Pink organisers reported 712 mammograms following more than 1,000 appointments made through Fundacion ABO’s BOB screening programme during October, according to a campaign review published by 24ora on November 6.
Foundation reports island-wide participation
Fundacion ABO said more than 100 organisations and partners joined the campaign, over 10,000 pink ribbons were made and shared, and more than 45 buildings were illuminated in pink. It also reported more than 50 community activities and a reach exceeding 150,000 through communications and campaign activities.
These are the foundation’s reported campaign figures. The reach figure is not presented here as a count of unique Aruba residents, and the mammogram total does not establish diagnoses or medical outcomes.
Screening continues after awareness month
The foundation said its breast-screening work continues throughout the year and encouraged women in its eligible 45–75 age group to participate. It also said preparations for the 2027 campaign were beginning.
The figures describe completed October activity. Screening remains available beyond the annual awareness campaign.
