The EPB San Nicolas graduation rate reached 87% for the 2025–2026 school year, according to school director Rensley Mathilda, who described the result as a strong achievement for students, teachers and families.
Mathilda said the school closed the academic year on a positive note and thanked teachers, parents, students and local companies that supported the school throughout the year.
He emphasized that cooperation between the school and the wider community played an important role in helping students complete their programs successfully.
School Prepares for New Academic Year
EPB San Nicolas is now preparing for the new school year with renewed energy.
Mathilda said the school is ready to welcome students back and continue developing vocational education opportunities in San Nicolas.
At the same time, he acknowledged that student enrollment has been gradually declining.
The school has seen lower enrollment over the past several years, reflecting a trend that is also affecting other schools in Aruba.
Despite the decline, Mathilda said the current number of students remains manageable for the institution.
New Vocational Programs Added
EPB San Nicolas continues introducing new programs to respond to changes in the labor market.
Recent offerings include ICT and culinary-related programs, as well as hospitality training.
For the new school year, the institution is also introducing a Logistics program.
Mathilda said logistics has become increasingly important worldwide and that students who understand supply chains and logistical systems can be better prepared for future employment opportunities.
The new program is intended to provide students with practical knowledge relevant to Aruba’s economy and workforce needs.
The strong EPB San Nicolas graduation rate and continued introduction of new vocational programs reflect the school’s efforts to prepare students for employment while adapting to changing educational and economic demands.
