ELMAR has announced a planned power interruption for Thursday, September 10, as crews carry out maintenance on underground and overhead electrical services.
Work scheduled from morning through afternoon
The ELMAR September 10 outage is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The utility said the interruption is required so maintenance can be completed safely and to support the reliable operation of Aruba’s electrical network.
Affected streets include Alvarezstraat, Bermudzestraat, Caya Cangreu, Christianstraat, Duartestraat, Eckmeyerstraat, Figaroastraat, Frankenstraat, Gielstraat, Heidestraat, Wolfstraat and Semeleerstraat.
Several neighborhoods also listed
ELMAR also identified Halifat, Kamay and Kurimiauw, along with parts of Monserat, Noord, Salinja Cerca and Turibana. Residents and businesses in the listed areas are advised to prepare for the interruption during the announced period.
The utility said customers should consult its own current address list to confirm whether a specific property is affected, because neighborhood listings may cover only part of an area. The source did not indicate that the schedule had changed as of publication.
