Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is proud to announce the official opening of three new Pet Relief Areas at Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA), designed specifically for passengers traveling with pets. These facilities provide a clean and convenient space for pets to relieve themselves before boarding their flight, enhancing the travel experience for pet owners.

The Pet Relief Areas are located:

  • Near the restrooms at Gate B
  • Near the restrooms at Gate 2
  • In the corridor, just before Gates 7 & 8

Each area is equipped with waste disposal bins and other amenities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and courtesy for all travelers.

To celebrate the occasion, AAA held a ribbon-cutting ceremony, during which a special donation was made to Luna Foundation, a non-profit organization in Aruba dedicated to improving the lives of animals. Luna Foundation focuses on rehabilitation, sterilization, education, and local sustainability, making a significant impact on animal welfare in Aruba.

“We are excited to offer these new facilities for pet owners traveling from Aruba,” said Jurgen Benschop, Chief Operating Officer at Aruba Airport Authority. “We are equally proud to support Luna Foundation in their mission to care for the animals of our island.”
