Aruba Ride4Kids completed its sixth edition early Sunday, bringing cyclists and community supporters together for a fundraiser benefiting children.
All participants returned safely
Ride4Kids committee president Rotmar Coenraad said the event met its first priority: all participants returned safely after more than eight hours of cycling. He described the day as successful and thanked the people who contributed to the effort.
The event was organized with Kiwanis of Palm Beach. According to Coenraad, the club has 61 members, while more than 160 additional people became involved in the ride. Participants supported the fundraiser either by paying their registration fee or finding sponsors for their participation.
Community response supports children’s projects
Coenraad said the turnout made him confident that the fundraising target would be reached. The proceeds are intended to support more than 200 children through the organization’s projects.
He also said the community responded positively when organizers asked for support. Contributions to the fundraiser remained open after the ride.
