Aruba’s Social Insurance Bank (SVb) has opened a new neighborhood service kiosk at MFA Paradera, expanding access for pensioners, future pensioners and older adults who need information or help using SVb services.
The opening was attended by Prime Minister Mike Eman, Public Health, Social Affairs, Elder Care and Addiction Policy Minister Mervin Wyatt-Ras, and SVb director Edwin Jacobs, according to 24ora.
Digital access with in-person guidance
The SVb service kiosk combines a digital portal with personal assistance. An SVb employee is expected to be available at MFA Paradera once a week to answer questions, provide information and help residents use the available services.
Eman said digital services create opportunities but must also account for residents who are less familiar with technology, particularly some older adults. Wyatt-Ras said the location will help pensioners obtain assistance and allow people approaching retirement to learn about their rights, pensions and the steps needed to prepare.
Community rollout continues
The Paradera location follows a similar kiosk opened at MFA Noord. Jacobs said about 65 people had registered in a short period, while SVb expected approximately 250 pensioners and future pensioners during the opening activity.
SVb plans to continue the neighborhood rollout, with Santa Cruz next, followed by Savaneta and later MFA San Nicolas. The expansion is intended to keep social-security services accessible while combining modernization with direct personal support.
