During the opening of the Proyecto Aruba DOET, the directors of FCCA and CEDE Aruba signed a formal agreement designed to provide structural support to local neighborhoods. FCCA Director Julie Wever and CEDE Aruba Director Daniel Tecklenborg finalized the partnership, which aims to assist active residents in implementing their own ideas and community projects.
The primary objective of the agreement is to empower local residents by providing a framework for community-driven development. By combining resources, the organizations intend to identify the needs of residents more rapidly and create solutions collaboratively. Julie Wever emphasized that this collaboration represents an important step forward, marking the opening of a significant new chapter for the island’s community development strategy.
Highlighting the importance of local knowledge, Wever noted that CEDE Aruba possesses a deep understanding of the specific needs within the neighborhoods and will work closely with FCCA to improve overall well-being.
