Aruba authorities removed 11 abandoned vehicles from public roads during a coordinated operation in Madiki, Timonstraat and Korvetstraat.
Police and owners moved the vehicles
According to 24ora, the Aruba Police Force arranged for four vehicles to be towed. Two more were removed by a private company at the owners’ expense, while owners moved five vehicles onto private property.
Two owners also signed declarations relinquishing their vehicles and authorizing their destruction. The operation was part of the government’s continuing task-force response to vehicles left on roads and other public areas.
Multi-agency operation will continue
Miguel Wever of the Ministry of General Affairs said the work is intended both to clear public space and to encourage vehicle owners to take responsibility before authorities intervene.
Bureau City Inspector, neighbourhood police, the Aruba Police Force and Serlimar participated in the operation. Authorities said similar actions will continue in other Aruba neighbourhoods.
The details were reported by 24ora.
