This certification enables them to train colleagues within the hospital as well as professionals from the healthcare sector and other industries. The achievement represents a significant step forward in strengthening the relationship between practical training and the labor market.

HOH has now become the first internship organization in Aruba, as an active PEL partner, to take this important step toward building a stronger structural connection between education and employment.

PEL Supporting Recognized Training Companies

PEL guides organizations through the process of becoming a recognized training company (Erkend Leerbedrijf) and supports the professional development of BPV trainers.

Through training programs, quality standards, and close collaboration with educational institutions and employers, PEL focuses on:

  • strengthening internship programs (BPV)

  • improving the connection between education and employment

  • developing sustainable workforce capacity

  • professionalizing internship organizations

  • contributing to Aruba’s economic development

Benefits for Recognized Training Organizations

Organizations that train employees through the BPV-Opleider program and become recognized training companies gain several benefits, including:

  • professional guidance and structured internship supervision

  • stronger internal quality and knowledge transfer

  • improved collaboration with schools

  • enhanced reputation and social responsibility

  • direct contribution to the development of local talent

Strengthening the Future of Healthcare

The HOH Academy and PEL collaboration strengthens education and workforce development by highlighting how professionals from the labor market can play a key role in nurturing future talent.

Leerdam and Daamen’s dedication, experience, and motivation are already making a meaningful difference for students, colleagues, and the future of healthcare in Aruba.

PEL expressed its pride in congratulating both professionals and also acknowledged HOH Academy as a pioneer in this initiative.

Other organizations are encouraged to follow this example and register for the BPV-Opleider training, helping to build a strong internship environment where education and the labor market work hand in hand for the future of Aruba
