ORANJESTAD (AAN): Following the first two sessions covering the Olympic world and Aruba’s sports framework, the “Sports Administration Course” (SAC) continued with a session focused on the structure of a sports organization. COA Operations Director Jonathan Wever led the session interactively, engaging participants throughout.
Using COA’s current structure as an example, Wever explained the hierarchy, staff roles, board management, and commissions responsible for various areas, including athlete management and sports safety. Participants analyzed each organization present to discuss current practices, desired improvements, and steps to achieve them.
The session also covered member health and wellness, risk management, safety protocols, and IT management within sports organizations. COA thanked the attendees for their active participation and interest in elevating the level of sports administration in Aruba.
