ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Xavier University will participate in the Aruba Lions Club Health Fair taking place this Saturday in San Nicolas.
The free community health event will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Colegio San Augustin MAVO on Pastoor Hendrikstraat.
Aruba Lions Club confirmed that Xavier University’s medical team and students will assist residents by providing several free health screenings during the event.
According to Professor Bonnie McGowan, Dean of Nursing at Xavier University, the medical team will offer blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and Body Mass Index (BMI) checks for community members attending the fair.
McGowan encouraged Aruba residents to attend the event and take advantage of the free preventive healthcare services available.
She stated that Xavier University helped approximately 150 community members during last year’s health fair and expects to assist even more residents this year.
Organizers emphasized that the health fair continues focusing on preventive healthcare, public awareness, and improving community wellness in Aruba.
