ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Mary Joan Foundation is encouraging both men and women to attend the Aruba Lions Club Health Fair taking place this Saturday in San Nicolas.

The free community health event will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Colegio San Augustin MAVO on Pastoor Hendrikstraat.

According to Jose Tromp of Mary Joan Foundation, the organization will once again participate in the health fair together with three doctors who will provide free breast examinations during the event.

Officials explained that if any irregularities are detected during examinations, immediate recommendations will be provided for follow-up care with the patient’s family doctor.

Mary Joan Foundation emphasized that the health fair offers an accessible and simple opportunity for residents to receive free preventive health screenings.

Tromp also stressed that breast examinations are not only important for women, but that men are encouraged to participate as well since breast health concerns can also affect males.

Organizers continue inviting the Aruba community, especially residents of San Nicolas, to attend the event and take advantage of the free healthcare services available.
