ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Supervisory Board of Stichting Fundacion Lotto pa Deporte has appointed William Erasmus as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2026.
The appointment follows an extensive recruitment and selection process in which candidates were evaluated on their leadership, professional experience, strategic vision and commitment to the development of sports in Aruba.
Erasmus brings extensive experience in sports development, strategic communications and public administration. During his time at the Institute for Healthy and Active Living (IBiSA), he led national programs, managed multidisciplinary teams and oversaw major budgets while promoting sports participation and community well-being.
As CEO, Erasmus plans to strengthen the foundation’s support for athletes, sports federations and community organizations through innovation, transparency and strong governance. He also intends to expand revenue opportunities through lottery products while improving sports facilities under the foundation’s management.
The Supervisory Board also expressed its appreciation to outgoing Interim Director Dominico “Junny” Figaroa for his four-and-a-half years of dedicated service. During his leadership, the foundation restored its financial position and established a solid foundation for future growth.
