Scol Preparatorio Tarcicius in Mabon has officially opened a renovated playground, in a government-funded project that also included the installation of a new roof, English 24ora reported on October 27.
Minister of Education Gerlien Croes attended the opening. The project included improvements to the school’s recreational facilities and fulfilled a commitment Croes made during a visit last year. The renovations were fully financed by the Government of Aruba through the Ministry of Education.
A commitment from last year’s visit
“During my visit to Scol Preparatorio Tarcicius last year, we recognized the need to improve the space where our children play and develop,” Croes said, as reported. “Today, with great satisfaction and pride, we can see the results of that commitment.”
As reported on October 27, the opening marks the completion of the works promised after that earlier visit: a renovated playground and recreational facilities for the Mabon preparatory school’s pupils, and a new roof, all funded through the Ministry of Education.
The opening formally put the completed works into use at the Mabon school. Alongside the renovated playground, the project delivered improvements to the school’s recreational facilities — the space Croes described as where the children play and develop — and the installation of a new roof. All of it was financed by the Government of Aruba through the Ministry of Education, following the need identified during the minister’s visit to Scol Preparatorio Tarcicius last year.
