Horacio Oduber Hospital (HOH) says waiting lists could lengthen and planned treatments could be affected if its discussions with UOAZV and the health minister do not produce a solution within two weeks. The warning was reported by 24ora on October 30.
Hospital meets UOAZV supervisory representatives
According to the hospital’s account, HOH representatives met UOAZV supervisory board members Detlef Hooyboer, Mike Wouters and Frank Dennert on Friday morning. The hospital said discussions about its situation have continued since March without a definitive agreement.
Dialysis facilities and treatment coverage raised
HOH said the visitors toured departments including dialysis, radiology, operating rooms and intensive care. It highlighted a proposed dialysis centre, the need to relocate existing dialysis facilities and coverage for hyperbaric treatment.
The hospital maintains that its fixed UOAZV allocation has not grown to cover its expanded space. These are the hospital’s statements; the report does not establish that a new funding agreement has been reached.
