Aruba Red Cross Volunteers Support Rescue Mission in Venezuela

ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Volunteers from the Aruba Red Cross are continuing their humanitarian mission in Venezuela, providing medical support to international search and rescue teams responding to the recent earthquake disaster.

The volunteers are assisting rescue teams from Costa Rica, Chile, the United States, Portugal, and other partner organizations during operations to save survivors trapped beneath collapsed buildings.

One of the rescue efforts highlighted the successful extraction of Hernán Gil, who had remained trapped under rubble for more than 100 hours in Playa Grande.

According to the Aruba Red Cross, its volunteers are responsible for providing immediate medical assistance and ensuring the safety of search and rescue personnel working in hazardous conditions.

The organization praised the professionalism, compassion, and dedication of its volunteers and international partners, emphasizing that humanitarian work depends on teamwork and a shared commitment to saving lives.
