DTP, Aruba’s Department of Public Transport, has set December 4, 2026, as the last submission day for online leave requests ahead of its year-end processing pause, 24ora reports.
Taxi and small-bus operators asked to plan ahead
The notice applies to taxi and small-bus permit holders and auxiliary drivers, including requests involving leave or special circumstances when an auxiliary driver will be used. The department says requests must normally be submitted online at least 14 days before leave begins.
Processing resumes January 5
DTP will not process leave requests from December 7, 2026, through January 4, 2027. Applications for 2027 may still be submitted online, but processing is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, January 5.
According to the notice dated October 28, late submissions will not receive exceptions to change leave dates. Operators are asked to account for the pause when arranging remaining 2026 leave and plans for 2027.
