ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Flor di Aloë Senior Group celebrated a decade of friendship, commitment, and community with a special anniversary event.
The celebration brought together members, family members, and guests to mark the milestone occasion. The event featured music, singing, and many joyful moments, reflecting the warm atmosphere and strong sense of community the group has cultivated over the past ten years.
One of the highlights of the celebration was when members joined together in song, symbolizing the unity and friendship that define the Flor di Aloë Senior Group.
Minister Mervin Wyatt-Ras attended the event and spent time with the members to personally congratulate them on their anniversary. The minister also recognized the group’s recent participation in the Senior Olympics in Bonaire, where they proudly represented Aruba and earned the title of runner-up.
“Our senior citizens are an important pillar of our community. Over the past ten years, the Flor di Aloë Senior Group has created a valuable space where people can gather, share experiences, and enjoy meaningful moments together. It is a wonderful example of how friendship, commitment, and social interaction can enrich lives,” said Minister Wyatt-Ras.
The Ministry of Public Health, Social Affairs, Elderly Care, and Addiction Management acknowledged the valuable contribution of the Flor di Aloë Senior Group to the well-being and social participation of Aruba’s senior citizens.
The ministry congratulated the group on its 10th anniversary and wished its members continued health, happiness, and success in the years ahead.
