Second student group will study in Belgium
A group of 22 Aruba students from La Salle College will travel to Belgium for an intensive student-mobility project. According to EA News, this is the second consecutive year that the school has offered the program.
Principal Rudiane Engelhart said the initiative grew from contacts with educational institutions in Belgium, with guidance from Hogeschool Gent and Ghent University. Erasmus+ funding and the school’s accreditation support the project.
Students will experience daily academic life
The MAVO students will follow scheduled classes and take part in ordinary student life during the week. The program is intended to give them a realistic picture of studying abroad after they complete school in Aruba.
Program covers technical and creative fields
Participants will explore healthcare, biotechnology, information and communications technology, data management, building techniques, woodworking, and set and display design. Engelhart said Aruban students are increasingly considering destinations beyond the Netherlands, including Belgium, Canada, and the United States.
