ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Department of Taxes (DIMP) has officially launched the second phase of its digital portal, ‘BO impuesto (BOi)’, allowing citizens and businesses to view outstanding tax balances and arrange payments online.
Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Primary Sector, Geoffrey Wever, introduced the new service as a step toward modernizing the tax department and improving government efficiency. For the first time in Aruba’s history, individuals can access complete tax information digitally without needing to visit an office.
The system provides real-time information, total transparency of transactions, and eliminates the need for manual requests such as a ‘rekeningoverzicht’. “With the launch of this digital service, we are giving citizens and businesses direct control over their tax obligations,” Minister Wever stated, highlighting the move towards a more transparent and service-oriented government.
