ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba’s Department of Social Affairs (DAS) is reminding all clients of its Financial Assistance Section that submitting a school declaration for the 2026–2027 academic year is mandatory to continue receiving certain benefits.
The requirement applies to adult beneficiaries enrolled in full-time education, parents with children attending school full time, and parents whose three-year-old children attend a daycare center registered with the Fundacion Pa Nos Muchanan (FPNM).
School declarations must be submitted between August 24 and August 27, 2026, at the DAS office assigned to the client’s district. DAS advises families with multiple children to submit all declarations together and ensure the forms are completed correctly.
The department warned that failure to submit the required documentation by the deadline could result in the suspension of financial assistance and the loss of school-related benefits, including monthly school allowances, parental contributions and school supply assistance.
Once the declarations are processed, eligible clients may receive monthly school allowances, payments toward school fees, school supply assistance and any applicable back payments. DAS encourages beneficiaries to contact their schools or registered daycare centers as soon as they reopen to obtain the required documentation.
