ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Cyclist Injured in Collision at Paradera Intersection after a traffic crash involving a Nissan vehicle near a gas station in Paradera on Saturday morning left one cyclist injured and requiring hospital treatment.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene after authorities received reports of an accident involving injuries. Police officers and an ambulance responded promptly.
Preliminary Investigation
According to preliminary information gathered at the scene, the cyclist told officers that the Nissan vehicle, which had been travelling from the lower section of the road, activated its turn signal to turn south but instead continued straight. As a result, the cyclist collided with the vehicle.
The impact threw the cyclist from the bicycle, causing injuries.
Cyclist Taken to Hospital
Paramedics treated the injured cyclist at the scene before transporting the individual to hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Additional information, including the extent of the cyclist’s injuries or whether any charges will be laid, has not yet been released.
