Aruba’s Infra reorganisation combines changes to organisational structure with improvements to processes and systems, according to an update reported by 24ora on November 3. The stated aim is to improve public service and reduce delays and complaints.
DRH and Berenschot support development
The work is being carried out under Housing, Infrastructure, Internal Services and Telecommunications Minister René Herdé, in collaboration with the Department of Human Resources (DRH) and Berenschot. Management and staff of the Infra Organisation are participating in the process, the report says.
The Infra Organisation forms part of a pilot for a new organisational approach, alongside the Justice and Labour ministries. Berenschot is also working on process and system improvements, which are intended to proceed together with the structural changes.
Roles and shared functions under review
Management sessions have examined tasks, responsibilities and possible changes in policy, inspection and enforcement. The report also describes consideration of shared support functions and a structure better suited to future needs.
Specific job profiles for the Infra Organisation have been prepared and submitted to DRH for assessment, according to the update.
Much of the work targeted for year-end
The ambition is to introduce changes step by step and complete a large part of the work by the end of 2026. That is a target stated in the report, not confirmation that the reorganisation has already been completed.
